I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing. I called the Kent Tractor Supply store before making the drive because I needed the dimensions of a product to make sure it would fit safely in my truck. It was a simple question that would have helped me plan the pickup. Unfortunately, the employee who answered the phone was dismissive and unwilling to help. Instead of trying to find the information or offering an alternative, he made it clear that I would just have to come to the store. When I politely asked for his name so I could reference the conversation, he responded, “Don’t worry about my name. You just gotta come here and pick it up.” Customer service should include helping customers make informed purchasing decisions, especially when they’re trying to verify whether a product can be transported safely. The interaction felt unprofessional and discourteous, and it left me with a poor impression of the store. I hope management addresses this, because a little courtesy and willingness to help over the phone would go a long way.

Tamy was an excellent manager, I went with a purpose and I did it thanks to her attention and help... You can bring home my stock tank 9ft x 2. I loved this store.

I tried to order an item on the site. It processed on my card but never gave me a confirmation. I called the company and they said they couldn’t identify the order that I would need to dispute it with my bank if it didn’t delete automatically. Ok… I’ll just go get it in person, right? So I called the nearest locations to see if they had the inventory listed on the website. At the Kent location, the first young man wasn’t sure what I was looking for. Another young woman came on the line them put me on hold while she went to check. She said they had lots of varieties and options on hand. I drove 45 minutes with high hopes. The store is easy to pass so be careful not to miss the turn into the lot. It’s neat and orderly, but It did not have the inventory I called to confirm was in stock. Not one item of any variety. The manager said the staff I spoke to was now off shift so there was no way to clarify where all these varieties were or what she was talking about. He called a local plant nursery but I knew they didn’t have them. He had nothing else to contribute to this extremely inconvenient and futile drive to their site. Not a great first experience with this company overall.

As a long-time customer, I've noticed a steady decline in the level of service from the older gentleman at the register. His demeanor has felt increasingly dismissive and unprofessional during my recent visits. Providing him with some refresher customer service training could greatly improve the experience for regulars like myself. Did I mention that I was trying to be helpful by walking in the store to pick up my online order? I’ll just do curbside next time.
